Terms & pricing
Version 2026-09-10 · Last reviewed 10 September 2026
Pricing
Pay per use, no subscription. You buy credits, you spend credits on the tools you use.
New accounts start with 10 free credits. Top-up credit packs become available once we open paid signups.
Credits don’t currently expire. We may introduce expiry rules alongside paid plans — if we do, this page is updated and account holders are emailed at least 14 days before anything changes (see Changes to these Terms).
Failed AI generations are refunded automatically — if the model errors after we’ve deducted credits, the deduction is reversed and logged in your account activity. See Refunds & cancellations below for the full policy.

Prices reviewed quarterly. We’ll notify account holders by email if anything changes, and the version date at the top of this page bumps. Existing credit balances aren’t affected. Credit costs for each tool are also shown in-app before you generate — please review them before purchasing a credit pack or running a generation.
Refunds & cancellations
Once paid plans are live, these rules apply:
- Unused credits within 14 days of purchase — full refund on request, provided you haven’t spent any of the pack. This is your cooling-off right under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. At checkout you’ll be asked to confirm you want immediate access to your credits, which waives this right for the portion you’ve actually used.
- Credits already spent — not refundable.
- Service fault on our end — if a feature you’ve paid for doesn’t work and we can’t fix it within a reasonable time, we refund the affected credits or the proportionate cash value, whichever you prefer. This is required under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- Failed AI generations — automatically refunded as credits to your balance, with the refund recorded in your account activity. No action needed from you.
- Account closure — you can close your account at any time. Closing your account does not automatically entitle you to a refund for used credits, expired credits, or services already delivered. Any refund request for unused credits will be handled in line with the categories above and applicable UK consumer law. Closing the account also erases your data — see the Privacy Policy.
Refund requests go to billing@yaklab.co.uk. We aim to process within 5 working days.
Terms of service
1. Who we are
Contact us at hello@yaklab.co.uk for any matter raised in these Terms.
2. Accounts
You need a verified email to keep using the service after seven days. You’re responsible for keeping your password private. Tell us at hello@yaklab.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms, abuse the platform, or attempt to circumvent rate limits or signup gates.
3. Credits & payment
Credits are a prepaid unit used to pay for AI generations and tool actions. Each generation deducts the credit amount listed in the pricing table above at the time of use. Credits have no cash value and are non-transferable. They don’t currently expire; if we introduce expiry rules in future we’ll update this policy and notify account holders at least 14 days in advance.
Free credits granted on signup follow the same rules but may be reduced or revoked if we detect signup-gate abuse (multiple accounts, automated registration, etc.).
Refund and cancellation rules are set out in Refunds & cancellations above and form part of these Terms.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload — reference images, palettes, briefs, CAD files. You grant YakLab a temporary, non-exclusive licence to process your uploads through our AI pipelines and to display, store, and reproduce them inside your account for as long as your account is active.
We don’t use your uploads or generated outputs to train any AI model, ours or anyone else’s. We don’t share your uploads with anyone outside the AI vendors we route requests through (currently Google Gemini), and we never name you or your work in case studies or marketing without your written permission.
5. AI-generated outputs
AI outputs are generated by third-party models on your prompt. They may occasionally reproduce material that resembles existing works, brands, artworks, products, or other generated content. Before using any output commercially (in client decks, products, packaging, advertising), review it for likeness to copyrighted material and for accuracy. You are responsible for the use of outputs you generate.
YakLab makes no warranty that outputs are original, accurate, fit for purpose, or free of third-party rights claims. YakLab is not a substitute for legal, IP, design-rights, or trademark clearance. Where commercial use carries those risks, take independent advice and run the appropriate clearance checks before launch.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use YakLab to generate:
- Sexual content involving minors, or any depiction of a minor in a sexualised context.
- Non-consensual sexual or intimate content involving identifiable real people.
- Content that incites violence, hatred, or discrimination against protected groups.
- Synthetic media of real people designed to mislead, defraud, or impersonate.
- Anything that breaks UK law, or the law where you are based.
You also agree not to scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the underlying model behaviour, prompts, or other users’ data from the platform.
7. Data & privacy
What we store, how long, and your data-protection rights are covered in our Privacy Policy. In summary: your account email + name, your uploaded reference images, your generated outputs, and a record of credit transactions, all on UK-hosted infrastructure. You can request export or deletion at any time.
8. Service availability
We aim to keep YakLab available but don’t guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance is announced in advance; emergency maintenance may happen without notice. We’re not liable for losses arising from temporary unavailability, third-party AI vendor outages, or rate limits imposed by upstream providers.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, YakLab’s total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the total credit value you’ve purchased in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that can’t be limited by law.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes are emailed to account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. The version date at the top of this page changes on every revision.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. YakLab is a trading name of Threadline Studios Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 16176358), registered office: 9a Leicester Road, Blaby, Leicester, LE8 4GR.
